Abstract
Supraventricular tachycardias (SVT) comprise those tachycardias that originate above the bifurcation of the bundle of His. They can be classified broadly as AV node dependent and AV node independent. The mechanism and clinical manifestation of SVTs, which is essential to their correct diagnosis, is reviewed. The therapeutic management of SVTs, including acute and chronic drug therapy and catheter ablation, is discussed also.Entities:
