Influence of free amino and carboxyl groups on the specificity of plant anti-N.

W Dahr, G Uhlenbruck, G W Bird.

Abstract

It is shown that M-active glycoproteins react de novo with anti-N lectins from Vicia graminea and Bauhinia purpurea after blocking of free amino and carboxyl groups. The significance of this phenomenon is briefly discussed.
