Abstract
The lack of regulation and procedures to monitor the reuse of single-use devices (SUDs) is allowing the use of medical devices that can pose a risk to patient health. Studies on reused SUDs show a range of defects. Despite this, uncontrolled reuse of SUDs continues. This article explores the extent of the problem, reports the findings of some of the studies and suggests what should be done.Entities:
