Abstract
Vitreous membranes were induced in rabbit eyes by injecting an autogenous lymphocyte preparation. These membranes were compared with membranes induced by autogenous leukocyte and platelet preparations. Lymphocytes gave rise to faint, nonprogressive membranes, while leukocytes and platelets produced dense, long-standing membranes. It is suggested that lymphocytes may not be the cause of this weak response, as other cells in the preparation may be involved.Entities:
