Abstract
Posterior dislocation is a well-described complication of plate-haptic intraocular lenses (IOLs). It usually occurs after an opening in the posterior capsule, either intraoperatively or after a neodymium: YAG capsulotomy occurs. We report a case of anterior luxation of a plate-haptic silicone IOL occurring 4 months after uneventful cataract surgery. This case emphasizes the need for a small and continuous capsulorhexis as well as in-the-bag implantation of plate-haptic IOLs.Entities:
