A fuzzy approach to computer-assisted myocardial ischemia diagnosis.

S Zahan1.

Abstract

The aim of the project is to introduce and implement in medical practice a fuzzy expert system specialized in the non-invasive diagnosis of myocardial ischemia. The system is able to embed and process medical knowledge independently of the way it is expressed (quantitatively or qualitatively, numerically or linguistically). It implements a novel medical diagnostic technique, has minimal computational requirements, performs an accurate diagnosis, is flexible and user-friendly. It is currently being tested in health care institutions and is used as a tool for different analyses and studies.
