Abstract
Rhabdomyolysis, as a complication of prone positioning of patients during surgery, is rare. Previous case reports have suggested that the common cause of rhabdomyolysis during the postoperative period is ischemic muscle injury resulting from the use of a tourniquet, occlusion of pelvic blood vessels, or prolonged severe hypotension. We present two cases of this occurrence resulting from compression of the thighs by gel pads of the Jackson frame used to position these patients.Entities:
