Abstract
A 37-year-old male developed severe sensorineural hearing loss (SNHL) following drip intravenous pyelography with iohexol. We suggest that this hearing disturbance might have been caused by a delayed allergic reaction to iohexol or to its toxicity, because hearing loss developed several hours after the infusion of iohexol. No improvement in hearing was achieved after various treatments. This is the first report of SNHL possibly attributable to the adverse effects of iohexol.Entities:
