Abstract
As our ability to evaluate patients with porphyria expands there have been some inconsistencies that are not easily explained. These inconsistencies are biochemical, enzymatic and genetic in nature. Recent work by others has led me to believe there is another way to look at the problem. I will propose how an evolutionary approach could reconcile these problems. In doing so it will imply that porphyria could potentially affect many more people than currently thought.Entities:
