Abstract
Influenza A viruses (H3N2) isolated in 1998 in Nagasaki, Japan, carried a mutation (384R --> G) in one of the anchor amino acids of the HLA-B27-restricted cytotoxic T lymphocyte (CTL) epitope of NP (383-391). Phylogenetic analysis revealed that these viruses have been isolated only in Japan to date and belong to the unique lineages.Entities:
