Caregiver burden and burnout. A guide for primary care physicians.

R T Kasuya1, P Polgar-Bailey, R Takeuchi.

Abstract

Caregiver burden and burnout are important, prevalent, and preventable. Physicians aware of the symptoms and signs can better assess, identify, prevent, and intervene in these situations. Such efforts result in improved quality of life for both patients and their loved ones.
