Abstract
Hundreds of studies have tested the efficacy or effectiveness of school curriculum-based (CB) substance use prevention programs. Over the years, various researchers have also tested programs that included school curricula, but with the addition of school environment, family, mass media, or community components. The purpose of this review is to determine the extent to which adding any of these components to CB programs improves overall program effectiveness in the prevention of substance use (SU).Mesh:
