[Adaptation to darkness and far red light of leaves of higher plants in conditions of oxygen deficiency].

V A Karavaev, A K Kukushkin.

Abstract

The adaptation process of the leaves of higher plants to dark and far red light under the conditions of oxygen deficiency was investigated. The reaction constant for the oxidation of the electron carrier molecules with oxygen in the dark was obtained and found to be 1.4 with 10-3 M-1 min-1.
