Abstract
An increasing QT interval can precipitate life-threatening tachyarrhythmias such as ventricular fibrillation. Tuberculous myocarditis is a very unusual diagnosis commonly made at autopsy. Mycobacterium tuberculosis can invade the cardiac conduction system and produce potentially dangerous arrhythmias. This case presents an HIV-infected man with tuberculous infection and long QT syndrome. We comment on the pathology, clinical features and outcome of this rare form of tuberculous infection.Entities:
