Abstract
Advances in technology and basic sciences this past decade have transformed neurobiological research. Practitioners looking prospectively in 1990 could hardly have hoped for the diagnostics and rational therapeutics that have become part of regular practice today. Here, we discuss three areas that have had great impact: genetics, cell death, and stem cell/gene therapy research.Mesh:
