Abstract
In approximately one third of dermatology patients, the effective management of a skin condition also involves consideration of associated emotional and psychosocial factors. Psychotropic drugs are an important part of the dermatologist's therapeutic armamentarium. This article reviews some of the salient pharmacologic guidelines and important drug-drug interactions involved in the use of the major classes of, for example, antidepressants and antipsychotic drugs, in the dermatologic patient.Entities:
