Hypermagnesemia in a pediatric patient.

Abstract

IMPLICATIONS: A high blood magnesium level is a rare but life-threatening event. This case report describes an accidental overdose of magnesium that occurred in an 18-month-old girl during a routine operation. The effects of high magnesium levels and its treatment are explained in detail.
