Abstract
Geriatric day hospitals have played a major role in the rehabilitation of older people, although the evidence base has proved thin. As the provision of geriatric medicine changes, they need to develop new roles such as responding to subacute crises, providing specialist services and ensuring comprehensive geriatric assessment before long-term care.Entities:
