Abstract
The survival of multicellular organisms is dependent on their ability to recognize invading microbial pathogens and to induce a variety of defense reactions. Recent evidence suggests that an evolutionarily ancient family of Toll-like receptors plays a crucial role in the detection of microbial infection and the induction of immune and inflammatory responses.Entities:
