Abstract
Twenty two varieties were isolated as a result of studying the world assortment of garden roses, from which many natural bud variations (sports) were selected. The genealogy of these varieties and variations of flower coloration in their sports were studied. It was shown that flower coloration may have a certain direction, depending on the origin of initial forms, i.e., on their genotype. The possible genetic causes of changes in the flower coloration in a certain predominant direction upon mutation are discussed.Mesh:
