Abstract
A basic description of artificial neural networks is given and applications of neural nets to problems in human gene mapping are discussed. Specifically, three data types are considered: (1) affected sibpair data for nonparametric linkage analysis, (2) case-control data for disequilibrium analysis based on genetic markers, and (3) family data with trait and marker phenotypes and possibly environmental effects.Entities:
