Abstract
This paper summarizes key elements that support the success of clinical pharmacy services to continuously improve the quality of drug therapy. Five drivers identify a successful model for continuously demonstrating the value of clinical pharmacy services: knowing the organizational culture; providing leadership; recruiting pharmacy sponsors; showing tenacity; and acting with management courage. Difficulties encountered when communicating the value of clinical pharmacy services within a health care organization usually arise because of failure to include one of these drivers.Mesh:
