Change in cell type of human choroidal malignant melanoma in tissue culture.

A R Irvine, J Mannagh, D V Arya.

Abstract

In five cases choroidal malignant melanoma spontaneously converted from epitheloid to spindle cell and vice versa. The cultured epitheloid cells divided more frequently and grew faster than the spindle cells. Cells from one tumor were cloned and developed into a cell line.
