Abstract
A new heat myringotomy device is described that produces a 2-mm myringotomy which remains open three to four weeks without the need for a ventilation tube. The device can be used in the office in young children under iontophoretic anesthesia and may eliminate the need for tube insertion in 50% of chronic serous otitis media cases.Entities:
