The direct fluorescent antibody test for the detection of Treponema hyodysenteria in pigs.

D Hunter, A Clark.

Abstract

A direct fluorescent antibody technique for the detection of Treponema hyodysenteriae in faeces and bowel smears from pigs produced a better preparation than the indirect method and also had the advantages that it took less time, produced less non-specific fluorescnece and gave direct control over the availability of the reagents used.
