Abstract
A 49-year-old male developed a bilateral scleritis that eventually involved the optic nerve and was associated with cotton wool spots. Investigation of a markedly elevated erythrocyte sedimentation rate revealed a diagnosis of Waldenstrom's macroglobulinemia. Although it was plausible to believe that the two rare diseases were causally related, the scleritis resolved while the gammopathy progressed.Entities:
