Abstract
We report a case of minor salivary gland sialolithiasis presenting as acute, painful swelling of the upper lip. Conventional, unguided, incision and drainage removed three of the sialoliths. Diagnostic ultrasound identified two further sialoliths which were successfully removed with real-time, ultrasound-guided, needle localization. This technique of sialolith retrieval has not been previously reported.Entities:
