[Glandular cystitis. Endovesical steroid treatment].

Abstract

OBJECTIVE: To report a case of cystitis glandularis, a proliferative disorder of the bladder mucosa whose incidence is estimated to be approximately 1%. METHODS/
RESULTS: A case of diffuse cystitis glandularis in a male patient is presented. Intravesical steroid therapy achieved symptomatic resolution, although the proliferative mucosal lesions persist.
CONCLUSION: There is currently no non ablative treatment that has been demonstrated to be effective in diffuse cystitis glandularis.
