Abstract
The role of the autopsy in modern medical practice is reviewed in the light of waning clinical interest. After a historical introduction, the reasons for this lessening interest in the autopsy, its values and its limitations are discussed, and followed by consideration of the possible future pattern of postmortem investigation.Mesh:
