[Hypertensive crisis caused by metoclopramide].

Abstract

Metoclopramide is a dopamine-receptor antagonist which stimulates the upper gastrointestinal tract motility. It is often used in the management of some forms of nausea and vomiting. Hypertensive crisis which occurred in a 76-year-old man who had received metoclopramide 30 mg daily is reported.
