Abstract
Much headway is being made in the quest to improve biocompatibility and reduce restenosis related to the use of stents. This article reviews the research data involving stent coatings and surface treatments techniques. It also describes recent work in surface modification of metallic stents and covalent coupling of drugs that employs a novel bonding process.Entities:
