Abstract
The use of a dip-slide (Uricult) procedure for the culture of voided urine specimens in a large general hospital was found to give equivalent results to those obtained by conventional culture technics. There was a significant decrease in the number of unsatisfactory speciments that needed to be repeated. The dip-slide procedure was readily accepted by physicians, nurses and laboratory personnel, and significant savings for the institution were realized.Mesh:
