Abstract
The effect of Listeria monocytogenes lipids on the course of infections with Salmonella enteritidis, Yersinia pseudotuberculosis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Klebsiella pneumoniae was studied in mice. The lipids were extracted with chloroform and methanol and used in various doses before and after infection with the bacilli. The lipids significantly increased mouse resistance toward the examined bacteria. The protective effect depended, to a large extent on the applied dose of lipids and its timing.Entities:
