Abstract
Cross-communication between heterologous signaling systems and the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) has been shown to be critical for a variety of biological responses: EGFR transactivation when G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) are stimulated represents the paradigm of an interreceptor network that is dependent on G-proteins, kinases, metalloproteases, and growth factor precursors. Investigating the mechanism of this process will help expand our knowledge of physiological regulatory mechanisms and diverse pathophysiological disorders.Entities:
