An algorithm for the management of urinary stress incontinence.

J L Cornella1, J F Magrina.

Abstract

An algorithm for the management of urinary incontinence in the female is presented. The performance of history, physical examination, and simple office bladder testing are reviewed. Patients are categorized into a complex group which require multi-channel urodynamic testing or a non-complex group which may proceed to surgical intervention without such testing. Indications for collagen injection and pubo-vaginal sling procedure are discussed.
