Abstract
The Notch signaling pathway functions in a wide variety of processes that regulate tissue patterning and morphogenesis in developing vertebrates and invertebrates. Research on the mechanism of ligand-induced Notch signal transduction has revealed a novel and essential element in the signal cascade. Some recent findings support a model in which sequential proteolytic cleavage serves to regulate Notch signal transduction.Entities:
