Abstract
Our paper describes pathologic and ultrastructural features of a canary (Serinus canarius) infected by Atoxoplasma sp. Histologically, numerous mononuclear cells were observed in intestinal mucosa, liver, and spleen. Most of these cells contained a variable number of protozoal-like organisms. These organisms were identified as Atoxoplasma sp. by ultrastructural examination of reprocessed paraffin-embedded tissues.Entities:
