Abstract
The K(+) channels that generate the resting potential of mammalian neurons have been difficult to identify and characterize. Recent experiments on hypoglossal motoneurons and cerebellar granule cells suggest that the resting current in these neurons is carried by TASK-1, a member of the twin-pore family of K(+) channels.Entities:
