Abstract
This paper reports that B cells undergoing translatory motion spontaneously segregate their surface Ig to one portion of their plasma membrane. The spontaneous redistribution of surface Ig was found to be: (a) selective, concanavalin A-dependent on translatory motion and energy metabolism. Abundant B cells undergoing motility were found after cultures in lipopolysaccharide or trypsin, or after brief exposure to cholinergic drugs.Entities:
