[Cut type femur neck prosthesis--a functional morphologic analysis].

Abstract

In contrast to other commonly employed models, the cut model femoral neck prosthesis is a cementless prosthesis of comparatively small dimensions. With the aim of investigating its functional integration in the femur, radiological, densitometric and photoelastic analyses were carried out. The biomechanical reaction of the bone tissue expected on the basis of the experimental result is tested in the clinical situation.
