[Prophylaxis and methods of correction of the parathyroid insufficiency in surgical treatment of the thyroid cancer].

The state of calcium metabolism in 249 patients after performance of thyroidectomy was studied up. It was established that precisional technique of the surgical intervention performance directed on the parathyroid glands vascularization preservation, is the main prophylactic method for the parathyroid insufficiency occurrence. Indications for the parathyroid tissue autotransplantation application during the performance of thyroidectomy are substantiated.
