Abstract
Medical problems which arise in Down Syndrome are reviewed. Guidelines for management including early diagnosis of congenital heart defects, gastrointestinal anomalies, eye problems, hearing defects, thyroid dysfunction, at lanto-axial instability, prognosis for mental retardation, and role of early stimulation are provided. Prenatal diagnosis in high risk pregnancies is recommended.Entities:
