"Slip sliding Away": patellofemoral dislocation and tracking.

Abstract

This article reviews the anatomy of the medial retinacular complex and the relationship of the anatomy to patellar dislocation. Clinical and radiographic findings of patellar dislocation are discussed, and the technical considerations and clinical usefulness of patellar tracking studies are addressed.
