Abstract
Histoplasma capsulatum, the causative agent of the most common systemic fungal infection, histoplasmosis, has become subject to increasing study in parallel with rising prevalence of human immunodeficiency. This review presents a summary of the advances made in the investigation of H. capsulatum genomics, molecular epidemiology, pathogenesis, and molecular genetics.Entities:
