Abstract
This paper reflects on current infectious disease control methods, their biomedical history and the management structures they are driven by. It asks whether a broader concept of 'infectious disease policy', with an emphasis on 'process' rather than outcomes, will help to re-frame the control discourse to ensure that infectious disease control is not only a method for preventing and treating infectious diseases, but is also a path for the creation of healthy communities.Entities:
