Brain death.

N Janakiraman1.

Abstract

Death is a natural process, but the definition of death varies depending on the cultural and religious background, all over the world. The historical development of the concept and the current criteria in the determination of brain death must be well understood. Termination of life support measures in a brain dead child should be undertaken after due consideration of moral, ethical, psychosocial and legal issues.
