[Informed consent in children: exemplified by vaccinations. When parents make "irresponsible" decisions].

G H Schlund.

Abstract

Medical information for juveniles (less than 18 years of age) in Germany is a special situation, e.g. because the parents must give their consent to medical treatment instead of the child/adolescent. This is illustrated by the example of vaccinations. Doctors are also given advice on ho how to react if recalcitrant parents refuse their consent.
