Abstract
A 39-yr-old Japanese man underwent living related kidney transplantation. Because the graft was ABO-incompatible, he was treated with double filtration plasmapheresis before transplantation and his immunosuppressive therapy was stronger than usual. However, immunoglobulin A nephropathy, accompanied by cellular crescents and necrotizing lesions, developed after 18 months. To our knowledge, the association of IgA nephropathy with ABO-incompatible kidney transplantation has not been reported previously.Entities:
