Abstract
Acute (invasive) fungal rhinosinusitis is an aggressive and potentially lethal complication of insulin dependent diabetes, as well as immunosuppression from chemotherapy and bone marrow transplant. The goal of this article is to describe methods to help with the diagnosis and treatment of sinusitis prior to developing this state of immune-compromise. This will help eliminate a significant risk factor for these patients that can lead to serious morbidity and ultimately mortality.Entities:
