Abstract
Increasing numbers of plant proteins are being shown to have posttranslationally-attached lipids. The modifications include N-myristoylation, S-palmitoylation, prenylation by farnesyl or geranylgeranyl moieties, or attachment of glycosylphosphatidylinositol anchors. This report summarizes recent findings regarding the structure, metabolism and physiological functions of these important protein-linked lipids.Entities:
